The Department manages the City’s clean water, solid waste and recycling, and urban forestry programs, which help to protect and enhance our local natural environment. The Environmental Resources program is also involved in urban stream restoration projects, and clean air and energy efficiency activities. Additionally, the environmental resources staff works on waterfront issues and serves as staff liaison to the Waterfront Committee.
