City Council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. Main Hall, Community Center

The City Council is the legislative body of the City of Albany and makes policy decisions regarding the governance of the City. The Council consists of five (5) members elected at large. Municipal elections are held every two years at the November general election of even numbered years. The City Council selects one of its members to serve as Mayor the Mayor presides over all Council meetings. Councilmembers appoint citizens to the various Commissions and Committees that make recommendations to the Council on a variety of city policies and projects.
