To request the Albany Unified School District
abate weeds, graffiti or other problems, email the
Superintendent's office as
superintendent@albany.k12.ca.us.
To request AT&T paint out graffiti on one of
its service pedestals (the boxes on the sidewalks
with all the phone wires inside).
Call SBC at 611, ignore the first two rounds of
various prompts enter touchtones – it will then
default to connecting you to a service
representative. Ask the service representative
to create a service tag based on the location of
the “Terminal Box” or “B-Box” (some of them will
have a number stenciled on the unit – having this
will help identify it). Make sure they create the
service tag based solely on the location of the
service pedestal and not on your home phone
number. Get a tracking number in case you wish to
follow-up.
To request graffiti abatement on BART
facilities (including the concrete support piers
running along the Ohlone Greenway - call or email

To request graffiti removal from a fire
hydrant call EBMUD at 1-866-403-2683 or email them
custsvc@ebmud.com and ask customer service to put
in a request to the paint shop -- give them the
nearest address.
To request PG&E paint out graffiti on a
substation or natural gas relief station (a metal
tube coming out of the ground next to a telephone
pole) ... call 1-800-743-5000 and describe the
problem and give them the nearest address.
To request the USPS abate graffiti on Blue
mail colletion boxes or the dark greek mail
storage/relay boxes -- call Maintenance Manager at
649-3114 x 29 and leave a message or fax them
649-3121. Let them know the nearest address and
cross street.
To request maintenance or repair of an AC
Transit Bus Shelter call AC Transit's Robert Del
Rosario at 891-4734.
To request repair of a broken streetlight --
contact City of Albany Public Works -- not PG&E.
Make note of the "pole number" which should be an
up to four digit number, and also the closest
street address and call Albany Public Works at
524-9543 or fax them at 524-9722.

To request Caltrans mow weeds at on off ramp,
fix irrigation, or perform maintenance on Hwy. 123
(San Pablo Avenue)... use their online maintenance
