Classes
The City of Albany’s Recreation and Community Services Department wants to ensure that recreation programming is accessible to all. If you are a Tiny Tot, Youth, Adult or Senior you are at the right place. We offer a plethora of recreational classes that will foster new skills, promote health, well being and expand cultural and artistic development. We offer classes ranging from Yoga, Tennis, Acu-Yoga, Tai-Chi, Da Yan Qi Gong, Pilates to more special interest classes such as Mandarin, French, Clay Making, Cooking, Drawing, Knitting, Scuba-Diving, Fencing, Karate, Brazilian Drumming and much more.

Our Instructors
Not only are we dedicated to providing various classes that will fit everyone’s schedule and taste, but we also ensure that the instructors that we provide are right for our diverse and safe community. Therefore, we hire individuals that are enthusiastic to share their knowledge and skills with the community. We also ensure that our instructors pass our rigorous background check, which is conducted by the Albany Police Department.
