Online Registration Instructions

All you need to register for classes online is an ID and PIN number. Below are two categories, A and B. Select the category that describes you and follow the simple steps.

A. You have attended a recreation class with the City of Albany previously and you have provided us with your email address:
If you have registered for a class with the City previously and you have provided us with your email address, you already have a PIN number and ID. Please follow the steps below to access your ID and PIN number. You may change your PIN number at any time, but your ID may not be modified. 

  1. Once you are on the online registration page (step 4 will get you to the online registration page), click the “My Account” tab 
  2. Then, click “Access Login Info”. 
  3. Enter your email address. Your PIN number and ID will be sent to you. Once logged in, you may change your PIN number, but your ID may not be modified. 
  4. Click here to go to online registration page.

B. You have registered for a recreation class with the City of Albany, but we do not have your email address, or you are a NEW CUSTOMER:
If you have registered for a class previously, but we do not have your email address, or if you are a newer customer, you will need to create a new account. Please follow the steps below to create a new account.

  1. Once you are on the online registration page (step 6 will get you to the online registration page), click the “My Account” tab
  2. Then click “Create a New Account”
  3. Please fill out the required information
  4. When finished filling out the required information, click the “Submit” tab
  5. It will take 1-2 business days for your account to become active. You will receive an email with your ID and PIN number.
  6. Click here to go to the online registration page.

Other Important Information:

  • Not all classes are available for online registration due to the way some classes are set up. When viewing class descriptions, you can find out the online registration status.
  • Any changes to your account such as adding a family member or changing your address need to go through the Community Services Department by calling (510) 524-9283.
  • All non-residents are required to pay a $10 non-resident fee. If a non-resident does not pay the fee online, a $15 charge will be required in order to begin the class.
