Mercy Brown Bag Program at the Albany Senior Center

What is the Mercy Brown Bag Program?

The Mercy Brown Bag Program (MBBP) distributes nutritional grocery bags of food to low-income seniors twice monthly. Depending on availability bags consist of 12-15 items including variety of fresh produce, bread, canned fruit/vegetables, packaged foods and other food items. (The bags are GREAT!)

Who Is Eligible?

Seniors age 60 or older on a limited income. One bag per household Income Limit for Single Person: $1077 per month Income Limit for a Couple: $2154 per month

Is There a Cost?

Only a donation of $10 per year is requested! Anyone unable to contribute is not turned away.

How Do I Register?

Arrive at the Senior Center the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month (ONGOING) from 9:30 am to 10:30 am

Bring:

Driver's License/ID with address & birth date.
Verification of income.

Bags will be distributed the 1st and 3rd FRIDAY of the month at Albany Senior Center, from 9:30am - 10:30am. Everyone is encouraged to join the program.
