About the Gallery
The Albany Community Center Art Gallery is supported by the City of Albany and managed by the Albany Arts Committee. The Albany Arts Committee sponsors 4 art shows per year and the exhibits run for approximately 3 months. The Gallery has played host to wonderful & talented artists from Albany and our neighboring cities. We would like to give a special thanks to two local businesses, La Vie en Rose and Design-a-Sign, who generously contribute to each show.
Applying to the Gallery
To be considered for a show, fill out the Art Gallery Exhibit Application and submit the application with the requested documents, printed images of your work and a non-refundable application fee of $20 to the attention of the Arts Committee at the Albany Community Center by August 18, 2017. The Arts Committee reviews applications at their September meeting each year.

The exhibit fee includes 250 postcards for which the artist must provide a high-resolution digital image. Selected artists will be required to pay an exhibit fee of $50, artists will also be required to pay a $100 gallery deposit to ensure no unreasonable damage to the walls occurs during the mounting and removal process; this $150 will be due 60 days before the Opening Reception.

The Opening Reception is scheduled from 4:00-6:00pm on the Sunday following the hanging of the show. The Arts Committee provides flowers and punch. The artist is welcome to bring additional food and beverages.
