Celebrating Albany's Commitment To The Environment!

A&G Header 2013

This event celebrates Albany’s commitment to the environment with live youth performances and green resources. Booths offer ideas for saving energy and water, connect you with local green organizations, show you how your food and lifestyle choices can make a difference, and showcase City of Albany projects.

Exhibitors

Booths include green organizations, vendors of green solutions, local artists, City of Albany Departments, and more. Come learn about gardening and urban farming, permaculture, the benefits of eating fresh organic produce, seed sharing, and raising chickens. Peruse information on reducing waste in and around the home, check out energy efficient solutions including solar panels and window replacement, and examine electric cars.

Green Services

Compost will be available along the Carmel Avenue side of Memorial Park for easy vehicle pick-up. Albany Strollers & Rollers will provide free bike valet parking on Carmel Avenues. Street Level Cycles will offer low-cost bike tune-ups and show you how to keep your bike in good running condition.
