East Bay Community Energy Statement on PG&E Reorganization
In light of PG&E’s announcement that they intend to file for bankruptcy in the coming weeks, East Bay Community Energy is closely monitoring any developments related to PG&E's financial situation and potential impacts on customers and operations. East Bay Community Energy remains committed to providing reliable and clean energy at competitive rates to the Alameda County community and foresees no disruption in provision of this service. Furthermore, East Bay Community Energy has been working over the past six months to procure 500 MW to 700 MW of new, California-based renewable energy projects. The current situation with PG&E has not changed these plans, and East Bay Community Energy expects to start executing contracts for these projects this spring.
