City of Albany General Municipal Election is to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020
July 13, 2020 to August 7, 2020
Extended Nomination Period:
If an incumbent eligible for re-election does not file, the nomination period is extended for that office to Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Nomination Papers are to be obtained and filed during this period. Candidate Nomination Packet will be available at the office of the City Clerk, 1000 San Pablo Avenue, Albany, CA 94706. Candidates are encouraged to make an appointment to obtain nomination papers.
Elected Positions Open for General Municipal Election:
Three (3) 4-year term
Board of Education
Two (2) 4-year term

Alameda County Registrar of Voters Office will start updating election results shortly after 8 PM on November 3, 2020 after polling precincts close.

Please note: the results of the election are to be certified no later than December 3, 2020.
The Albany City Council will ratify the results of the election as part of a City Council meeting in December 2020.
