Fire Prevention Week: Pancake Breakfast

October 12, 2019

pancake breakfast

Every year in October, during Fire Prevention Week, the Albany Fire Department makes safety presentations to all of the elementary schools in Albany.  As a finale the Albany Fire Department holds an Open House Pancake Breakfast to benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. The 2019 pancake breakfast was held on October 12th and was a great success, with over 650 in attendance.

We would like to thank all who came and made the donations through the purchase of tickets and filling the boot. The money raised will sponsor scholarships for Champ Camp and multiple local charitable donations.

We at the Albany Fire Department would again like to thank all of you who came out to support the Albany Firefighters Association Local 5130, our local charities and the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, we hope to see you again next year.

Toys For Tots

ToysThe Albany Fire Department in conjunction with Albany Firefighters Association Local 5130 is hosting it's annual Toy Drive this holiday season. We at the Fire department proudly serve our community and those that visit throughout the year. The Holidays however, help provide a wonderful opportunity to reach not only to those in our community but those in neighboring communities.

As many of you know the Holidays can be an especially hard time for some families who struggle to provide the bare essentials. Through this Toy Drive and with your help the Albany Fire Department and Local 5130 are hoping to fill that gap. This time of year is one where we can all come together and share a special gift with a child in need.

If you wish to donate please bring a new unwrapped toy to the Fire Station or one of our designated drop spots by December 1st.

 Associated drop spots:

St Ambrose Church 1145 Gilman St.  Berkeley CA 94706

Albany Community Center 1249 Marin Ave.  Albany, CA 94706
