Fire Prevention Week: Pancake Breakfast
October 12, 2019 8am-12pm
Every year in October, during Fire Prevention Week, the Albany Fire Department makes safety presentations to all of the elementary schools in Albany. As a finale the Albany Fire Department holds a pancake breakfast to benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. Last year over 700 people attended and through donations the purchase of tickets and filling the boot we were able to sponsor two scholarships for Champ Camp.
Sparky the Fire Dog will be in attendance, we will be having raffles, live fire demonstrations, electrical and natural gas safety demonstrations, Engines on display, as well as sign-ups for CPR and First-Aid classes.
The breakfast is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The breakfast is from 08:00 to 12:00 and will be at the Albany fire station located at 1000 San Pablo Avenue (Behind City Hall on the corner of Marin and San Pablo.) We look forward to seeing you on the 12th, and come hungry.
The Albany Fire Department would just like to take this opportunity to thank the community and all those that participated in the Toys for Tot's annual Toy Drive hosting it's annual Toy Drive this holiday season.
We, at the Fire Department, proudly serve our community and those that visit throughout the year. The Holidays however, helped to provide a wonderful opportunity to reach not only to those in our community but those in neighboring communities.
As many of you know the Holidays can be an especially hard time for some families who struggle to provide the bare essentials. Through this Toy Drive and with your help the Albany Fire Department was able to provide over 200 children with a toy for Christmas.
Thank you again to all those that donated to the Toy Drive you truly helped to make a difference in a child's life, and we hope to see you again next year!
The Albany Rotary Club and the Albany Fire Department have collaborated to bring you the Help! Medical Emergency Information Form. This form, which was designed by Albany Fire Fighters, assists providing the best possible medical care to the citizens of Albany.
A completed and current form allows Paramedics to have your specific medical and contact information in the event you are unable to give them that vital information.
After reading the directions, please complete the form and place in a plastic baggy then tape to the front of your refrigerator. Remember to update it as necessary.
