The Albany Tree Fund is just that - a tree fund for the Albany Urban Forest. As we plant more trees and generally upgrade the urban forest, there is a cost involved both for planting and maintenance of the new trees. City funding is sparse and doled out to many competing interests.
The Albany Tree Fund has been set up so that people can place money into the fund and know that the monies are used for more trees, stakes and ties, more young tree pruning and more concrete removed so that green is the color of our streets. It is our hope that not only individuals but also corporations and government agencies will fund our vision of an Albany with a green canopy cover. The Albany Tree Fund is used for that purpose - planting and enriching the urban forest.
Any donations can be made by contacting Finance & Administrative Services, at City Hall 1000 San Pablo Avenue, Albany, CA 94706, or by phone at (510) 528-5730 and let them know that you wish to contribute to the Albany's Urban Forestry program.
