Ages 13–17 • May–October 2020 • 4 Volunteer Openings Available

We are looking for four crew members to join the Event & Media Apprentice Program! Participants will gain valuable hands-on work experience in event preparation, outreach, and coordination, as well as learn about what goes into a successful event. There will be an emphasis on working with professional photography, video, and audio equipment for live local events. The Event & Media Apprentice Program provides the opportunity for young community members to acquire new skills in a fun team environment, and feel empowered to utilize these skills in their own professional growth.

There is no cost for this volunteer program.  After completing the program, crew members will receive an official City of Albany certificate of accomplishment, commendation from the Albany City Council, and may be eligible for paid employment with the City of Albany Recreation and Community Services Department. Applications are due by Friday, April 24, 2020. If selected, must be available to work Music in the Park for the first four Wednesday evenings in September, as well as select other events and promotions.

Download an application and medical release and turn it in to the Albany Community Center (1249 Marin Avenue) or send it to Brennen Brown.
