A shelter-in-place order is in effect for all Alameda County residents. City facilities are closed and non-essential meetings and events are cancelled.  Find more information here.

The Teen Center will be taking a hiatus effective September 2019; limited space is available for 6th graders in Friendship Club at our Ocean View Site. Please contact Heather Posner for more details.

The Albany Teen Center first opened its doors to the teen public back in September 1992. Since then, thousands of area youth have enjoyed the many recreational opportunities available. It is a neighborhood hub offering young people services and programs to increase community connection, physical and mental well being, educational attainment, and career achievement among youth members.

ALL NEW Teen Center Curriculum!

This daily after-school program is for youth grades 6th–8th, and provides a well supervised environment to play, learn, make friends, enhance self-esteem and develop social skills. We offer a variety of activities including indoor/outdoor games, healthy snacks and a supervised homework period.

New this year teen center participants will set the course of their out-of-school time by exploring their group interests using the resources our recreation department offers. Do they want to make a movie for the film festival? We can do that! Are they more interested how to help contribute to service projects? We can do that too! Teens will set the stage for their own learning!

Program hours are 3:05–6 pm,

Monday–Thursday (2:10–6 pm, Wednesdays) and closed on Fridays
