Join us this summer as we promote children's innovate thinking through our newly developed curriculum and themes. Camp themes will be driven by children's contributions to the curriculum as they bring new ideas and creative minds to each day! We will also be taking children on daily adventures to explore all that Albany parks have to offer.
Our camps are for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children will be grouped by age into the following teams of about 15 kids: K/1/ 2, and 3/4/5.
For information contact Danielle at (510) 559-7220. To register, go to albanyca.curacubby.com/fst/summercamp.

Campers will explore various art media with an emphasis on process over product. The week will include different art techniques that will encourage children to express their creative minds.
Tinkering is the natural occupation of kids big and small. During this week of camp, we’ll explore loose parts, different materials, and real tools to design kid chosen projects. Can you make the world’s tallest popsicle stick structure? What happens if you use corks to build? Can you design a castle? Let’s find out!
Break it, fix it, make it, transform it, and understand it. We let kids take apart objects all week so they can create and re-purpose what once was to what could be. Real tools and tons of time is the formula for brilliant ideas to come to life.
Children have lots of questions about how the world works! In this camp each group of kids will generate questions they have about scientific phenomena (Why is the sky blue? Where do shooting stars come from?) and work together to find answers using local resources like the library.
Come build with us as we explore how things move. Friends will use design thinking to create custom cars and engineer things that take motion. Can you make the fastest car? Whose plane can stay in flight the longest?
Write stories, develop characters, make costumes, and prototype small kingdoms as we journey through our imagination. Problem
Use your problem-solving skills and learn to work together as you take part in mystery challenges. Scavenger hunts, games, and 15-minute challenges shine a light on your creative thinking.
Down by the Bay
Come explore the Albany Bulb and all its beauty. Observe creatures in their natural habitats, track tides, build with what nature provides, and hike the terrain- campers get a close look at what the cityscape provides.
The last week of summer will be a smorgasbord of fun! Adventures, engineering, building, art, scavenger hunts and more make for a very eventful week.
