Albany Paratransit Services
The City of Albany Paratransit is funded with Measure B & BB Funds, administered by the Alameda County Transportation Commission. Albany Paratransit provides transportation alternatives to qualified Albany residents and to people with disabilities 18 years and over. Enrollment is required to use Albany Paratransit Services. A Non-ADA application for the Paratransit Programs in Alameda County must be completed and submitted with required documentation to the Albany Senior Center before using the Taxi Program, Shopping Trips and Senior Shuttle.
Get on the Bus!
The Albany Senior Center has acquired a beautiful new shuttle bus with a generous GAP grant from the Alameda County Transportation Commission. The new shuttle expands and enhances programs that keep Albany’s seniors active and engaged.
Walk Talk and Be Healthy!
Take the shuttle to various Bay Area destinations and participate in walking tours (adults 50+). Walk at a moderate pace while exploring the history and natural treasures of the Bay Area.
Take the shuttle on an affordable day trip (adults 50+). Enjoy what Northern California has to offer without having to do the planning or the driving. Connect with others while sightseeing and visiting various attractions.
Let the shuttle take you grocery shopping for free! The shuttle provides service from your home to a nearby grocery store, then returns you to your door. Trips are offered on Thursday and Friday mornings for Albany residents 60+. Call the Senior Center at 1 + (510) 524-9122 the day before, by noon, to schedule your pick-up.
This program provides a refund on taxi rides. Clearly marked receipts must be turned in at the Senior Center to receive a refund by mail. This program is provided to Albany residents 80 years of age and older and people with disabilities 18 years and over.
